Most of the time you have no idea how much you could be getting paid.  Many locums jobs end up being a high pressure sales pitch by the locums company to get you to accept the least amount possible.  I recently spoke to one doctor who had taken a 3 month assignment for $65 hour.  I asked why he took the job.  He said that he needed a job because of recent personal circumstances (divorce), and that the locums company told him he was getting a good deal!  You don’t have to live in that world any longer!
